Question
We are going to Aruba on 8/23 for 7 nights. The extended forecasts show it will be overcast with rain almost every day. I have always heard it rains like 5 days a year in Aruba. Could the forecasts be correct and the belief that it never rains in Aruba be a fairy tale?

Answer
Hi Mark!!  I will be leaving on the 23rd also! Don't worry about the reports. This is my 22nd trip in August, and I can recall it raining during the day twice...and they were short durations. I do recall it raining a few other times, but this was like at 3-5 am. and by sunrise...all was gone. The rainy season actually is late October into November. As funny as it may seem...I want it to rain during the day just to see what it is like, so this will show you how rare it is. The most common "showers" are actually fine sprinkles, and last no longer then 10 minutes..( as the cloud passes by) but for the most part it remains sunny. They just throw the "rain" forecasts in, as Aruba is in a Tropical climate, and those little showers pop up at times. I stay at the Marriott Renassance Marina Tower and Aruba Beach Club During my stay (11-days).
