QuestionI have given my nephew and his future wife a condo exchange in Aruba at the Allegro facility. I was shocked to see the price of air travel to Aruba. $850 per person from Syracuse NY, roundtrip. $760 through a consolidator. Any secrets?
AnswerHi Joe..airfares were high up until last week. I am paying 769.00 for August which I booked 2 weeks ago, and guess what...the same flights/same days are now 529.00 (American Airlines) This price is for Hartford Ct. to Miami, to Aruba and back. I would highly suggest you try Americans prices. Go to www.aa.com. When they tend to go down, others follow. Delta goes daily out of Atlanta, and USAIR goes daily out of Philadelphia and Charlotte, NC. If you can get to Bradley Airport (Hartford) the best flight is 623 to San Juan connecting 811 to Aruba. Or, Bradley to Miami and conecting to flight 1047 to Aruba. At this time, there are plenty of seats available for any flights late May and onward. If there is anything else in particular you may need to know, please do not hesitate to contact me again!
PS: American has a non-stop to Aruba leaving JFK. (flight 679 daily) Wish I waited one more week to book my flight!
