Aruba/Driving

Question
We will be traveling from MN.  We will be leaving the end of Feb.  We just want to know what the driving is like and should we rent a car or just take cabs.  Is the driving just like Mexico or Jamaica???

Answer
Hello! Sorry for the delay. (health related..doing fine!) Driving in Aruba is basically easy, if you are familiar with European style road signs. I find it a bit confusing myself, and tend to drive slower as to make no mistakes. Driving slower upsets the "locals", who usually drive at faster speeds, and they get irritated somewhat. I usually take a taxi, as I do not travel around the island much any more ( seen just about everything!). If you plan to travel thru the island for sightseeing, a rental car may fit your purposes. If you will just be going to some resturants for a few days, a taxi will suit your needs well. If there is anything else you will need to know on this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me again!
