How did your name spelling change from Mendijk to Mendyk and when?

Hi Susanne! To be honest, I have no idea! My Grandparents came from Europe, and from what my father told me, there were several variations of my name from the last 8 generations. However, when I am in Aruba, they somehow use the Dutch version, even though all my info is given to them in the current version! Strange, but it makes me feel special! Thank you for the unique question! Makes me think about it now!
