Aruba/Easter

Question
Andy- I saw on Aruba.com that the Easter holiday is celebrated 3/24 and 3/25. Is this correct? Thanks.

Answer
Yes, that is true!! Arubans tend to celebrate a bit longer and more extensively. At that time, almost all Arubans spend that weekend at the local beaches. Kind of like our "block parties". Christmas is celebrated by singing on the streets and fireworks. They have a very proud culture and a more relaxed style of living. ( I envy them!) However, if you were there, things seem to go as normal as expected, with the exception of the beaches being crowded! Carnival time is their most widely celebrted time, and the most busiest on the island.
