Question
I went to aruba 2 times and loved it however we are returning with our grown children and wanted to know what the legal drinking age is? Also is gambling alllowed at 18 years old? It is a beautiful island and we can't wait to se how it has grown. the last time we were there was 1989 and they were digging for all the new hotels, there were 18 crains on the waterfront.

Answer
Hi Ro!!  You will find the Island totally different from when you were there last. Most . if not all of the cranes ars gon..maybe one or two on the northern part of the island. The age for drinking remains at 21, and casino age is 18. ( I find that strange also)You can get a better idea whats in store for you by going to www.aruba.com  or www.aruba4u.com  and by browsing these sights, you should get a better idea of how the island developed. I have been going there since 1984, and every year i return, i find something different....it just keeps getting better! If you have anything else in particular you may want to know, please do not hesitate to call on me again. I will be leaving for the island 8/22, so make sure you get in touch before that!!!
