I just returned from my first trip to Aruba and can't wait to get back.  I've been doing some preliminary research on flights, hotels, etc. specifically for New Year's.  Do you think it's possible to get a package for under $750 for 4-5 days?  And what hotel would you recommend?  (We stayed at the Sonesta and loved it-- right downtown withing walking distance to everything we wanted). Thanks for your consideration!

Hi Mary! I highly doubt that you can find a package for that time of year for that price. That is considered high season in Aruba. I always reccomend the Sonesta, as I will be going there myself in 2 weeks. Great hotel for the price they charge. I would be inclined to say that a 4 day package for that time, anything under 1,200.00 would be a bargain, however, do not give up any searches for the trip. I can say, stay away from the Divi and Tamarijn hotels. Travel agents tend to book these 2 places, and I would not recommend them to anybody. I dont like to talk about the bad things, so I will leave it at that!  However, if you need to know anything more specific, please do not hesitate to call on me again, but do so before 8/21, as I will be on the Island until early September!
