Question
Are there any places for couples to sunbath in the nude on the island.  If so, how do we find them.

thanks

Answer
Hi Darrell! There are topless areas of SOME  beaches, but for nude, they are hard to find. First, about 20 years ago, I could have given you 10 areas or more to go to, but as the Americans became more prominent as tourists, along came the same mentality. I myself, do not find nude sunbathing offensive. Privacy is the issue here, so I can suggest going to beaches on the "rough" side of the island, opposite the hotel side. The beaches are small, surfs are rough, but not visited often. If you rent a 4wd vehicle, travel along the shore on the northeast side of the island, and you will find some secluded spots to spend some time. Also remember, all the shore/beaches in Aruba are government owned, or, "public", so you do not have to worry about any individual saying it is their property. Only the police or government representative can ask you to leave IF you are doing something wrong. The most that can happen to you is you will be told to dress appropriately. I never heard of anything worse then that. Yhe police force is small, and normally do not waste their time patrolling the beaches on that side of the island. Go to some websites for maps as aruba4u, visitaruba, .coms. If there is anything else that I can help or direct you to, please do not hesitate to contact me!
