Question
Hello Andy:

I do hope you can help me.  I live in the US and I am now in the process of starting a business & relocating to Aruba.  One of the required legal documents I need, is a legal document that verify's my residence, I'm not sure what this document is or how to obtain it. In Aruba I was told it's called "Bevolkings Register".  Do you know what this document wold be in the US and how do I obtain it?

Best regards,

Christine

Answer
Hi Christine! I would assume that the residence verification would be along the line of where you are from. IE: USA. All that you would need in that case is a valid passport as proof of residence/nationality. Some countries are required to have a visa to enter Aruba, while Americans ( among some others) just need the passport as proof of residence. I do not know of anything more positive for proof than that. Maybe they have a document where all this information must be transfered to. In that case, Aruban Immigration would be the only department I can think of that can answer/supply you with what you need. If I can come up with anything more specific, I will hold this question so I can re-contact you.
