Question
QUESTION: I read your answer about the best months to go to Aruba: Aug, Sep, & especially Oct. Now, what are the airfares? can you give me approx dollar amounts f/2 people. Flying from Newark, NJ & can we get a direct flight. Also, what's the best way to research flights on the internet. This is my 1st (lol).
Hope to hear from you.
Thank you,
Nancy
ANSWER: Hi nancy! Auguat is by far the best time to go for pricing and weather! October is when the island starts to get busy, and the airfares increase with the load factors. Right now, you will find the cheapest flights to Aruba for August/September. Continental should have a non-stop out of EWR, but JetBlue also has one from JFK daily.   When I shop for tickets, I go directly to the airline sites such as www.jetblue.com , or www.aa.com, and so forth. Try to stay away from those other sites like orbitz, cheaptickets, priceline, etc. You may run into problems with confirmations and seating, and the savings really amounts to nothing anyway! American also has a non stop out of jfk.( flight # 679). If you need any help with websites after you try what I have given you, contact me again and I can dig up some more for you. But, really....tickets to the Island are at a low right now for August/September! Do your researching!!!

QUESTION: Hi Andy, Thank you so much for your answer. It was so helpful. However, I have another question(s). Have you ever heard or seen in Aruba this resort: The La Cabana Beach Club & Resort. I was told it was right on the beach (Eagle Beach). But I can't seem to locate this resort on the web to see what it looks like, etc. Can you help me?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you,
Nancy

Answer
Hi Nancy..La cabna is a huge resort. Yes, it is on the beach, but there are rooms in the "rear" of the complex that reguire a few minutes walk. They have 2 sections..the "Beach and Racquet" and the "Villas". Go to
www.lacabana.com  and that is their website. You should be able to obtain any info you need for this resort. Call me if you need me again!!!
