Question
i am staying at the Marriott Surf Club and was wondering about the beach, shopping and dining.  i like adventure so sometimes travel alone and was wondering if i'm in walking distance to everything and should i feel safe.

Answer
Hi Donna! Even though a male, I made my last 15 trips to the island alone! I love Aruba for this reason. I usually do not venture out alone on other destinations. To answer the question, YES!!  Due to location of the Surf/Ocean clubs, there are plenty of people in that area, and everyone is walking around. Plenty of resturants are close by. This area was developed specificaly for that reason. More upscale, so a better blend of vacationers. The only downside I have been hearing is that due to the many people at these resorts, the beach can get a bit crowded, otherwise, you should have no problems. Just relax and enjoy, and if there is anything else I can help you with, get right back to me!!
