Question
If you want to take a day trip to Venezuela or Curacao, what would be the best way to go and how much money would it cost?

We are travelling to Arbua in November and would like to take a day trip.

Answer
Venezuela..I hate to seem harsh..but you really DO NOT want to go there. Extreme civil unrest, robberies, assaults, car jackings, and kidnappings. Chavez has that ciuntry in turmoil. The U.S. State Dept. does not even recommend American Nationals to go there. I was there 4 years ago..and there was military personell with weapons all over trying to keep the peace!
Curacao, on the other hand, is safe. Not much to see unless you want to do some shopping. Dutch Antilles Express and Tiara Air have about 5 flights a day back and forth. Price wise, all things fluctuate, so I would check at their desks when arriving at the airport. Curacao is only about a 35 minute flight away. As always, weekday flight are less expensive, so shoot for that time period.
