We are looking for the most reasonable and safest rental car company that isn't going to rip us off.  Also, are taxes usually charged in addition to the rate?  Thanks

Hi Virginia! I normally do not rent a car on my trips to Aruba, BUT.. I follow feedback on trip reports, and heard nothing but good things about Tropical, operated by a fellow named Hans. It seems like it is a more personalised service according to all the visitors who get rentals n the island, so I would safely recommend him and that particular company. I would also suggest that you go to, and register on www.aruba-bb.com  .   It is a bulletin board which I even find is a wealth of information and trip reports, and it will be very useful to you if you are a first time visitor, or 23+ trips as for someone like me.
