Question
I will be ariving at about 9 p.m.on a saturday will i be able to purchase liquor

Answer
Tough timing!  By the time you go thru immigrations and pick up your bag, most stores will be closed. Option... at your departure airport, go to the duty free shop and purchase there. It will be cheaper. Also, if you are making a stop in san juan, there are 2 duty free shops there that will be open. Otherwise, when you get to the island, you will have to wait for Sunday morning. All supermarkets have a liquor section in them, and in most hotels they have mini-marts that sell also. The prices would be much higher there. I would suggest bringing a bottle of your favorite along with you just in case. You are allowed 1 liter.
