Would like to stay in a nice place and would like to have a refrigerator in the room so we can keep beer, milk, etc.  Are there convenience stores in Palm Beach?  How much is beer?  Three of the four travellers will want to scuba.  Who do you recommend for dives? Stayed in an AI in Jamaica and liked it.  Do you recommend AI in Aruba?  Best price from an agent is at the Wyndham.  How is this hotel?

HI sharon! No convenience stores in the area...but there are supermarkets a quick ride away. As to the beer...your domestic brands are higher priced since they are imported to the island. You will be looking for a price increase around 30% higher for the american domestics. Local beers, like Balashi and Polar are lower priced. The Wyndham is a nice place, but...I tend to send a lot of people to Aruba Beach Club, as they are a shorefront timeshare, small store in the lobby (for beer and milk +). Check their site at www.arubabeachclub.net for prices. Yes, they have small kitchenettes in every room...fridge is there, stove, micro, coffeemaker, toaster and all plates and utensils.  For Scuba..there are a lots of operaters on the island. Red Sail Sports and DePalm tours are the largest. www.aruba.com  and www.aruba4u.com will have information regarding prices/times. Once you get there, if you need info for anything, you will find the people very friendly and willing to guide you with what you need.
