Hi.  My fiance and I are going to Aruba in October for our honeymoon.  We are staying at the Marriott.  I was wondering if you could give us any first hand knowledge of the hotel, any good restaraunts or other suggestions for sites to see things to do, etc.  Also if you could give us any pointers or suggestions in general, I would appreciate it.

Hi Tara! About the hotel, you have chosen one of the two finest and beautiful hotels on the Island. I always suggest the Marriott or the Hyatt! You will find plenty of resturants on premises, and every hotel in that area have fine eating establishments. Taxi fares are not out of sight there, and i guess you wont have to worry about food, as there are so many fine resturants there. To do??Well, I would suggest shopping at the Seaport Mall in downtown Oranjestad, which you will pass by from the airport to the Marriott. Cant miss it..look for the Sonesta Hotel and beach resort which is attached to it. I would recomend an island tour, to see the sunrise side, or, the "rough water" side of the island. There are many 1/2 day tours which are not expensive. I can go on forever, but look into www.aruba.com    or www.aruba4u.com and you will find plenty to do. You will most likely be handed brochures when you leave the airport..there are lots of activities listed in them, plus, each hotel has an activities kiosk, which you can chose what you want by price, and time. Dont miss the Natural Bridge. If you rent a vehicle, please be cautious, as driving can be confusing there. I have been there 18 times, and still cant get it right!!  If there is anything more specific you may want to know, please do not hesitate to call on me..otherwise.have a Great trip!!!
