Aruba/honeymoon in Nov
Expert: Andy Mendyk - 7/31/2007
QuestionQUESTION: My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon for the beginning of November. I've read that October and Nov normally bring the most rain. Should I postpone til the spring? Also, do you have any resorts that you suggest. We both are looking to just "relax" preferably during the slow season. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
ANSWER: Hi Jill! The "slow " season is always between May and September. Yes, October & November is considered their rainy season. ( Not that it will rain all day/every day) I go, and enjoy my stay in August. Not crowded, hardly any kids running around. For peace, you will want to stay at the "Low" rise hotels. I can suggest going to www.arubabeachclub.net and look at the property pics. It is a timeshare complex, but they do rent rooms. Very quiet, clean, right on the beach. Casino across the street, resturants on premises. Also, the Bucuti is also nice, also more adult oriented for relaxation. Just stay away from the high rise sections ( Holiday Inn, marriott, Occidental, and what ever is in that area. If you need more specific info or help, always feel free to contact me! Be cautious of accomodations if a travel agent is booking your trip, as they always say the place you will be staying at is Great!

QUESTION: Thanks for responding so quickly. Have you heard at all about the Manchebo Beach Resort. I visited their web site and it appears they offer their own all inclusive packages. Do you suggest going the first week of November or would you put it for a different month or possibly a different island. We both seem to have our hearts set on Aruba but want a sunny and relaxing experience
AnswerHi Jill! Yes,I am totally familiar with Manchebo Beach resort. It is, actually right next door to where I stay, and what I have previously recommended to you. ( Aruba Beach Club). It is , of course, in the low rise section, just as quiet, and the widest beach in that area. Early November would be fine, but really, do not let the term "rainy season" upset you! In most cases, it is not an extended rain as we see here. You will still get your time in the sun. Also, the Bucuti is on the other side of Manchebo, so you can see why I really like that particular area! Three fine hotels all grouped together, and all within walking distance! You will be satisfied with any of these 3!
