Question
Please help...I have been looking at many many opinions at tripadvisor.com regarding where to stay at aruba.  I am very confused.  I am looking for the top 3 places to stay at Aruba.  I am very very particular about the room.  I would like a very nice room (bedroom and bathroom are very very important) also I would like a nice balcony that I can sit out on.  The grounds have to be nice in addition to everything else.  I dont go on vactions that often so I would like it to be very very special.  The recommendations given to me were:
Raddison (#1); Marriott resort and stellaris casino #2; and Occidental which we are not sure about (because they are not opening until 5/1/06.  If you can please help me I would greatly appreciate it.  Also I was kinda sure that the Marriott Stellaris Casino was what I was going to pick (they have very pretty rooms and the balcony is 100ft), however then I was told that the beach area in front of the property was mushy and an over abundance of seaweed is on the property because of where they are situated it cannot be helped.  Can you please help.  :) Thank you.

Answer
Hi Deb!  Yes...the Marriot Stellaris is a top notch facility. Beautiful both inside and out. You may also want to try The Hyatt Regency. In my opinion, those are the 2 best hotels on the island. The seaweed problem is usually temporary, and caused by weather patterns that make the water rough at times, bringing the seawed to shore. This problem usually goes away during the summer months.  The Occidental is a toss up. Some say it will be ready, some won't, and if it is not, you will usually find yourself being sent to the Wyhndam. You may also want to look into the Marriott Ocean Suites, located in the downtown area. Close to everything, and they have a shuttle to their private Island. Very clean, not too crowded. That can also be an option if you so elect. I think you can find info on that thru Marriott.com, and you can navigate from there. If there is anything else I can help you with, please do not hesitate to contact me again, and..have a Great Trip!!
