Question
What does the jewelry that the females wear symbolize? Why do they wear a red dot on their forehead? I need to know about their language, education, food types, and some alternative health cures.

Thanks,
Janet

Answer
Dear Janet,

even though i deal with questions regarding the history and not with the social or culture, but i wouldnt disappoint you on this and will answer you.

the jewelery that indian females wears especially, the married one wears is called "mangalsutra" means "holy locket" its just like christians have wedding ring.the bride wear it in the marraige by groom and its a symbol of her marraige and she suppose to wear it until her husband is living.

the red dot they wear on their forehead is called "bindi". its again sign of marraige and prosperity.

India have 14 regional languages and around 1000 other languages. so its very difficult to answer your question on this aspect. in india, after every 5 km, language starts to change. every region have their own special food types, eating style and habits.

i hope this will satisfy you. if you still have some more doubts, please do ask.

with best regards
