Question
Are any portraits of Shi Huangdi actually based on pictures made during his life?  It seems most of them were created during the 1600's.  Also, are there any known pictures of Li Si, advisor to Shi Huangdi?  If so, when were they made and where can I see one?

Answer
Hi!

Portraits of Shi Huangdi are based on his looks. However, there is bound to be distortions as Emperors in the past want their pictures to look as good as possible. As time went on, there could be further distortions on his portraits as they were duplicated. Few people actually have the privelige to see the Emperor.

I believe there are pictures of Li Si, although I haven't had the fortune to see them myself. Sorry I can't help you with that.
