why would the plateau of tibe,the tian shan, and the himalayas  make sea trade more popular than overlandtrade?

Actually, I don't quite understand your question. The Himalayas and Tian Shan are mountain ranges. They aren't plateaus. Are you trying to suggest a 'what-if' condition? Maybe you could explain your question and I could answer it better. Thanks.
