Dear Jen, doug here! I have MANY questions to ask. I am writing a book on the history of martial arts...so, the ?'s are -
1. did aryan or dravidian martial arts preceed kalaripayit, the art of india and to what extent?
2. Were there 'north and south' divisions in these arts as in kalaripayit and Shaolin kung fu?
3. Did the Indus culture produce viable martial systems?
4. Where any of these N-S divisions run by females? and if so, who?
I could go on but this will do!

hi!

i'm afraid i do not have diverse knowledge on the history of martial arts. however, i can answer question 3.

3. no one knows whether the Indus culture did produce the martial system, because up till now, no one has been able to decipher the writing.
