The Tang Dynasty was regarded as the Golden Age of China. Scientific development was at its peak and arts and culture flourished. The paper that we all use today is in fact invented druing the Tang Dynasty. The people were exposed to many different types of religions and Buddhism flourished especially because the Emperors were devoted Buddhists. It was during this time when extensive trade was carried out between China and the European countries as well. People were generally living in a state of prosperity (without famine and minimal social disorder).

Arts and culture development continued all the way till the Song Dynasty. Many of the famous Chinese poems were written during the Song Dynasty. For example, Li Bai is the one of the most famous poets in history.
