I have a mastiff/pit bull mix & he has been diagnosed with demedex. Also, has bad bacterial infection in paws caused from mange. The Dr. has him on Ivercide 1% injectible. He seems a little "drugged",slow motion and slighly off balance. Is this effects from medication & should I stop the dosage?

Answer
This cvould be caused from the medication and in many cases, the dose can be reduced so that the side effects are minimized.  The alternative is using milbemycin for 30 days.  A new flea/tick product called Promeris has just been released that may benefit demodex dogs.  Check with your vet about these suggestions.
