Question
my 12 year old dog (Bichon Terrier) has just developed patches of dry skin on his back and most of the hair is gone on these patches what should I do?

You should have your dog evaluated by a veterinary professional. There are many reasons why your dog may have dry skin patches over his coat.
Feed your dog a premium diet to ensure that the skin is healthy. Science diet for seniors is a great diet for older dogs.
