Question
I have a 5 month ols kitten that i got from our Local Humane Society and i gave him some human salmon and since then he has had bad diarrhea and threw up yesterday and today.. he was still active sometimes but now this evening he seems very lethargic and always sleeping  Was salmon a bad thing. Hes on friskies for kittens now and for the last 2 days and he eats well but his beahvior worries me. His stomach seems very hard and is always gurgling..What should i do

Answer
Keith -

The salmon may have been too rich for your kitten.  Feed him premium food  such as Hill's Science Diet canned - it is  one of the best food formulated for cats.  Cats should be fed more canned food than dry in order to keep their weight in check.

Have him evaluated by a vet as soon as possible..  His hard belly may be due to constipation or intestinal parasites.
