Ask the Veterinarian/dog rubbing hair off

Question
I have a german whirehair that has been rubbing and itching her self until her hair has come off. I took her to a vet and they didnt know. I have given her a flea bath and medication but still not the answer. Is there something I can do or give her. She is 2 years old and is still vary active.

Answer
If she is itchy, then she may have some type of parasite, like mites, on her skin.  That would need to be treated with an insecicidal dip.  If she is allergic, she may need a shot of a steroid followed by tablets.  If she has a skin infection, then antibiotics may be needed.  I would ask another vet for a second opinion.
