Question
Yesterday I accidentally closed the door on my cat's tail and pulled the hair from the tip off. I didnt noticed till today. He doesnt seem to be in pain maybe just careful with the area. Would it heal on his own or do I take him to the vet?? Please Help!!!!!

Answer
Melissa -

You should have your cat's tail examined by your veterinarian. If he is "careful" with the area, then he is most likely experiencing some pain. Closing the tail in the door may have caused a fracture; even if the tail is not fractured, the cat may be in pain and might benefit from pain medications. Your cat would probably thank you for a visit to his doctor.
