Question
my 6=year-old dog was attacked by a neighbor's unleased dog 11 days ago and required emergency surgery to repair her wound.  the incision is healing nicely, but she has developed red growths between the pads of two paws.  she is licking them raw and is limping.  a friend says these are caused by stress???

Answer
Dogs that lick their feet often have allergies to things that they walk on.  Many of these dogs also have a yeast infection between their toes.  Ask your vet to treat for allergies AFTER the fight wounds heal.  I doubt that stress has anything to do with it.
