Question

SophE
My 9 month old Jack Russell was recently caught eating poo.  Not just her own,
but our other dog's as well.  This cannot not be good for her.  My brother also
has a JR and along with his friend. Theirs' also eats it own poo.  Is there anything
I can do to stop this strange eating habit?

Answer
Diana -

Your dog was probably eating her  poo because she has a nutritional deficiency.  Feed her a high quality diet, such as Hill's puppy food or Eukanuba.

You can add supplements to her diet that will discourage her to eat her poo. Ask your vet for something that will make her poop unattractive to  her.
