Question
I have a 3 month old female American bulldog.  She urinated on the floor tonight and I noticed what looked like blood.  She has continued to pee several times over the next few hours.  It's almost like she has a bladder infection.  She doesn't seem to be in any pain or anything.  She just keeps needing to pee.  Do you have suggestions?  Should I take her to the vet or give her cranberry pills or something?

Answer
Christy -

Cranberry pills will not help your dog get rid of a bladder infection. Cranberry pills can help prevent a bladder infection, but it cannot treat it.  Take her to the vet to have her treated properly and effectively.
