Question
I AM TRYING TO BREED MY 2 TABBIES. THE FEMALE IS 15 MONTHS OLD, AND THE MALE IS 5 MONTHS OLD. IS THE MALE MATURE ENOUGH TO IMPREGNATE, THE FEMALE, AND ALSO, HOW LONG SHOULD THEY MATE BEFORE PREGNANCY INSUES?

Answer
MAle cats at 5 months can be fertile, but not mature enough to know what to do.  SInce cats are induced ovulators (as opposed to spontaneous ovulation like women or dogs) cats have to mate twice for her to get pregnant.  The first mating causes her to release eggs, the second one gets them fertilized.
