Ask the Veterinarian/My Cat fell from high storey

Question
My cat jumps down from high floor. He is currently hospitalised. The vet said that he has injury to his spine and might has bladder injury or other internal injury as well. Blood was found on his nose, one eye and the pad he is sleeping on. They are administering pain management at the moment, and not starting on any specific treatment yet.
We are very worried and the vet can't give us any definite answer or what to expect. I would like to know what is the common outcome for such injury. And is there anything we can do to help him.

Answer
Worried Mum -

It is difficult for me to tell you what to expect from your cat's injury without the benefit if a physical exam.  Cats can be resilient animals, but injuries from a tall building can be devastating.

Good Luck -
