Question
Our hamster is about two years old and doesn't seem to be herself. She is not eating much and isn't running in her wheel much over the last few days. Is this a sign of old age or is these systems that something else could be wrong. We we took her out of her cage and put her on the floor, she walks around but doesn't even try to run away like she use to. please advise, thanks for your time

Answer
Aurora -

There are many reasons why your hamster may not be feeling well; unfortunately without the benefit of a physical exam I am unable to help you with a definitive diagnosis.  Have her examined by a veterinary professional in order to determine why she may be feeling poorly.
