Ask the Veterinarian/Small bites on cats nose!

Question
Hello,

My black cat has small, raised (what look like) bites on his nose only.  We thought it was getting better but seems like is just getting worse slowly.  This has been going on for about 2 weeks now.  Also, we found a 4 week old kitten in the woods & brought him home.  He had tons of fleas and eventually gave them to our dog.  Our other cat and our black cat does not have any fleas on them - well I can't find any.  I am not sure if this is related as we are still treating our kitten and dog for fleas.  They do not seem to have small bites on them.  Please let me know if you can help me ASAP.  We are trying to avoid taking him to the vet but will if need be.
Thanks so much for your help!

If you are bringing animals to your home from the woods you should certainly see have your pets seen by a doctor to be evaluated for internal and external parasites.

The cat should be examined to determine the origin of the lesions on his nose. It sounds like a reaction to the fleas, but a doctor can better diagnose the problem with a physical exam.
