Question
can a ringworm ,that my cat is infected with, and has been transmitted to me and my wife(we are all getting a proper treatment), be transmitted to our parrot, and what can I do to prevent that? Thanks so much!

Ringworm in cats is fairly common. Wash your hands when handling your kitty and make sure he is receiving treated for the disease. Ringworm may  be transmitted to your parrot, but I am no sure how prevalent it is in birds. Exercise caution when handling the bird after handling the cat.  It may be wise to separate the kitty from the bird to avoid transmission.
