Question
i have an 81/2 yr old great dane that is in great health for her age.  but today i noticed some vaginal bleeding and she isn't in heat and shouldn't go into heat for another 4 mos.

Have your dog examined by a veterinarian.  She may have an infected uterus (pyometra) if she has not been spayed.  This condition can be very serious and can even be fatal if not addressed.

Your vet can easily determine if her uterus is infected.  He/she can  give you treatment options that can save her life.

Good Luck -
