Question
I have a 2 pound 2 ozs 5 month female
chihuahua who have demodicosis mange and is seeing a vet for it. I have been reading on the web that when their immune system is low thats when the out break happens, what can I use to build up the dogs immune system? any suggestions will help please.

Answer
Young puppies do not have much cell mediated immunity.  That will take time for it to develop.  Usually by 1 year of age, it is developed.  There is nothing you can do to increase or speed it up. In some pups, the mange will dissappear when this happens.  Treat for the mites until then to prevent permanent scarring and infection in the skin.
