Question
Today my 2 year old Chihuahua has been larthogic to the point that she does not want to walk.  She is constantly wanting to be on her stomach.  She has experienced diarrhea twice today that was extremely fowl smelling.  She does not want to eat or drink. I have been feeding her milk through a squirt bottle.  Is there anything that I should be doing that I'm not as I am worried because she has never been like this.

Answer
Sara -

You should not feed your dog milk - especially if she has had a bout of diarrhea. The milk may make the diarrhea worse.  Small dogs can become dehydrated very quickly which may lead to serious physical problems.

If your dog is lethargic, not feeling well and not wanting to eat if should be examined by a doctor as soon as possible.
