Hi, our 9 year old boxer was diagnosed with a brain tumor yesterday. He has been put on Prednisolene steriods and is already on Phenobarbitol. Is there anything else we can give him as he is pacing quite a lot and is hard to settle?

There is medication that can help your dog relax.  Unfortunately, preadmission can cause hyperactivity and restlessness - this medicine may be the reason your pet is so restless. Express your concerns to your veterinarian however, he/she can evaluate the effect of the medication and your dog's behavior and provide meads so that your pet can rest.
