Question
Today I took my dog to Banfield The Pet Hospital(horrible place, by the way). Anyways, they took x-rays and it looked like he had eaten something that he wasn't supposed to but it's in the large intestines so the vet said that he should pass it with no problems, but I cant get him to eat, drink, or even come out of his cage.  I am really worried that he is getting dehydrated. His stomache and his upper intestines are completely empty.  He also has a gas bubble in there as well. She said that it dosn't look like his stomache has flipped, but I am really worried at this point and dont know what to do, and I think he might pass away right here in front of my eyes. What should I do?

Answer
Laura -

If you are worried about the condition of your dog  - you should seek a second opinion.   If the dog will not come out of the cage, I am assuming that he is not feeling well.  Call around to find a local veterinarian that would be willing to examine your pup.
