hi,
i just want to enquire about my 9 month old american Akita, it promied -7 degree here and im curious would my pup feel the cold in his house that is placed in his pen, now we have 4 layers of cement blocks tryng to block out the winds coming from the side of the garden that isint near the shed!where his pen is based please, i would be grateful for any reply..  

Answer
Well he will be cold yes, but if you put enough blankets in there and check him he might be okay. If he has not been out in the cold then no, do not let him be out in that for more than 15 minutes or so and not alone.

It is highly recommended to keep ALL pets inside when the temperature drops below freezing. They are not wild dogs used to living outside.
