Question
I was over my aunts house and she went to go feed the dogs. A few moments after we heard them fighting in the backyard. Everyone knew it was because the son ate some of the fathers food. But they are related. So, why would the father almost kill and wound badly his son if they are related?

Answer
Are these dogs neutered?
Family to dogs doesn't meant the same thing as it does to humans. Humans fight with each other also.

But un-neutered dogs will fight to the death if needed and they don't care if they are related. It is territory aggression and it extends to food also.

If she doesn't get them neutered they will hurt each other really badly one of these days and she will lose one of them or she will have a huge vet bill on her hands trying to save them.

It sounds also as if they are not getting enough food?

It's your aunts choice.
