Question
50-60 lbs lab puppy showed up to back door with mashed or (run over paw). Dog in extreme pain. Is there something I can give the pup for pain until a vet can be lined up. Stray dog, but appears a pet, well kept....Have calmed pup down, but still groining and moaning...any suggestions would be helpful

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend medicine for an animal that is not my patient. It is not medically prudent to prescribe or recommend meds for an animal without the benefit of a physical exam.  I would suggest that you contact the animal ER or your veterinarian to find out what meds you can give to make this pup more comfortable.
