Question
Hi, I was wondering if you could break down the first shots a 6 week old pup would get?

Distemper, parvo, parainfluenza and then adenovirus 1 and 2.  What are adenovirus one and two?  Is it Hepatitis and Coronavirus?

Answer
Nicole -

Consult with your veterinarian about the vaccines your dog should get. Vaccines are now tailored to the needs of the pet - your vet can tell you what vaccines your pet needs.

Canine adenovirus type 1 causes hepatitis; canine adenovirus type 2 causes upper respiratory infections such as kennel cough.
