Question
hello Dr.Gotthelf, my question is can i just inject fronline plus in between my jack russell dog's shoulder blades instead of applying it on his skin bec his coat is so dense, i could not find the skin no matter how hard i try.

My second question is, in one of the frontline ads i saw on the net, the lady vet specifically said that an application of frontline plus kills fleas for up to 3 months and ticks for 1 month. So, if my concern is only fleas, i could reapply every 2 to 3 months intead of monthly? Many thanks and more power!

Answer
DO NOT INJECT IT!!!  It is designed to absorb into the sebaceous glands, the oil glands of the skin and slowly release onto the skin as the body produces oil over time.  You can put it anywhere on the skin including the stomach, where there is not much hair.  We use the shoulders because it is hard for the dog to get it off from that location.  If it lasts for 2-3 months, then you can re-apply it that infrequently.
