Ask the Veterinarian/Itching Dog

Question
My dog does not have fleas...I checked every inch of her, especially when she's itching.  Yet she scratches constantly.  I do not know if it is a rash since i cannot see 1.  So, I was wondering, is a "home remedy" that may help her?
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Answer
Without a diagnosis, I can't offer any treatment.  So many things other than fleas can cause itching.  Some insects like mange mites can cause itching.  Allergies can also cause itching. Skin infections with either yeasts or bacteria can cause itching.  So I would advise you to have a vet check out the dog to see why she is itching and then get her some specific therapy.
