About 2 weeks ago I bought 2 Boston Terrier puppies, who are now 11 weeks old. My male itches about 8-10 times a day and only on his left side. He is not loosing any hair or anything but it makes me wonder why he is only itching on his left side--could something be wrong or is it just a puppy thing?

I don't think it is a puppy thing - most likely your pup does actually itch on that side. There are many reasons why he is itchy - fleas, food allergy,etc.  Have your veterinarian examine him to help determine why your pup is so itchy.
