Question
My 3yr old german shepherd male was neutered in Feb 2009.  He has been in pain ever since.  When he gets up from lying down he cries.  When I put him in the back of my car he drags his hind legs and cries.  This dog use to leap over picnic tables.  He was extremely athletic, now he won't jump up on anything.

Did they damage my dog?

Have you talked with your veterinarian regarding your concerns?  The symptoms you described do not sound like the typical complications following a neuter.  

Talk with your veterinarian as soon as possible; he/she should be aware of your concerns.
