Question
Hello,
I adopted a stray kitten who is now 4-5 months old.  He appeared quite healthy when I took him in November 25. Lately, he has lost some interest in food. He wobbles when he walks as if his hind-legs are weak. I took him to our family veterinarian and the kitten tested negative for feline leukemia and other deadly viruses. The kitten had a runnynose so the vet prescribed an antibiotic. The kitten has taken the medicine for 8-days with no problem.  However, I'm worried about the "wobbling" which seems to occur early in the morning. Also, the kitten seems to want to sleep more than normal and hasn't been playing as much as he used to.

Have your kitten examined by your veterinarian.  Often, with small animals, the blood glucose can reach levels that are too low and can cause the "wobbling" you describe.

Neurological deficits can also cause the wobbling hind limb movements. Your veterinarian may request  radiographs and bloodwork to help find a definitive diagnosis.
